His dedication transcended the confines of our church, he served as an Emergency Room Administrator, a compassionate beacon of Christ’s love, tirelessly caring for the well-being of our community.

For the last 8 years, Shelby served to guide others on their transformative weekend encounters.

Shelby served in various roles, showcasing his versatility and dedication to our Emmaus & Beyond Community. As a Facilitator, he skillfully navigated the intricacies of the Emmaus experience. As a Speaker, he allowed others to marvel at the majesty of God’s amazing grace woven from his personal story.

In the arenas of Hospitality and Food Service, Shelby’s warm and welcoming nature ministered grace to every participant, delighting them with nourishing meals. Shelby embraced every opportunity to create an atmosphere of fellowship and camaraderie.

Shelby Dickerson’s impact resonates in the lives of everyone he touched. His service extends far beyond the norm; he leaves an enduring legacy of compassion, support, and love.

Shelby was passionate about the love of God. He believed no one was so far from God they could not be reached or loved.

As one of the founding members of the Church of Champions Security Force, Shelby’s commitment and loyalty were legendary.

At the heart of Shelby’s service was his role as the Personal Protection Officer of Pastor Hutchins and his family. Shelby’s passion for serving others helped transform Pastor Hutchins’ vision for a Health Clinic into a reality for Northwest Houston.

His selfless dedication to building a clinic to provide healthcare to those in need, regardless of their financial means, defined his life’s mission. The clinic, which now operates six days a week serving patients throughout our region, will continue to be a testament to Shelby’s enduring legacy of compassion and service.

Today, we honor a man who sacrificed tirelessly to ensure that everyone, no matter their circumstances, had access to the care they deserved. Shelby’s impact on our community will be remembered and cherished always.
