This year we are joining forces with Operation Turkey to help prepare, cook, pack, and deliver Thanksgiving meals to the less fortunate this year. Help us feed 10,000 Houstonians.
Over the last 23 years Operation Turkey has remained a 100% volunteer organization without a single paid employee. We are more than 30,000 volunteers strong working together to ensure everyone receives a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day in select cities and states across the United States.
On Wednesday, Nov. 22: 6 am–noon.
We will prepare side dishes. Come together for turkey smoking, de-boning, side dishes cooking and assembly. You may be asked to do cooking, cleaning, packaging, or other tasks. Kids are welcome to join for To-Go Boxes decorating and encouraged to come out with parents or guardians.
NOTE: You can signup to volunteer for 1 hr or stay longer or stay the entire time if you so choose.
We will be serving at the American Legion, Post 654 located at 3105 Campbell Rd. Houston, TX 77080

Here are some tips for the Turkey Tailgate and Thanksgiving Day:
- Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, hair pulled back, and PPE will be provided in designated areas.
- You are always able to select what you would like to do. Cooking, cleaning, delivering, packaging or plating; there is always a job to be done. Any time and help you can offer is greatly appreciated.
- Kids are welcome and encouraged to come out with parents or guardians. We also have special programs that enlist the help of the younger members of your family. They will get to share the great Operation Turkey experience with you, and it will help open their young eyes to the importance of giving back to their communities.
Please wear Church of Champions Anniversary T-Shirt so we all go as one COC community.
